Diabetes

Diabetes - particularly Type 2 Diabetes – is a chronic, complex metabolic disorder.

Due to low levels of insulin, glucose is slow to be absorbed and stays in the blood stream for extended periods of time. As a result, it becomes difficult to convert glucose into energy for cells and metabolic pathways. Many serious complications can occur if left untreated. In conjunction with diet adjustments and a holistic health and wellness plan, Ayurveda and PHFs have been shown to be an effective alternative modality of treatment in addressing Diabetes.1

Diabetes & Respiratory Complications / COVID-19:

With diabetes, patients are at greater risk for having other chronic conditions & even infection, due to spikes in blood glucose (very high levels or very low levels). Low blood glucose increases risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a potentially life-threatening condition that makes it difficult to cope with COVID-19 complications (due to poorer fluid and electrolyte regulation). High blood glucose may prevent the release of infection-fighting white blood cells, further increasing infection risk.

Our PHF research has shown significant improvements in the condition of patients with Diabetes:

  • SAFE EVEN IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE CONDITIONS: No significant side effects – means that the PHF can more effectively boost immune response, even in patients with multiple conditions
  • ELDERLY PATIENTS HAVE SHOWN RECOVERY: Patients in elderly categories often have multiple conditions – and in patient testing, have shown significant recovery (e.g. respiratory illnesses, COVID-19) while improving their mobility and quality of life. They have not since relapsed into respiratory distress or contracted the same virus again, to date.
  • LOWER COST: PHFs provide a significantly lower cost alternative to expensive synthetic drugs for diabetes care.2
